Mark Vranes, with a Masters Degree in Taxation, has been a Certified Public Accountant for over 25 years. He joined the partnership in 1984 to form Higham, Richards & Vranes, CPAs. Prior to joining the firm, Mark spent seven years in the tax and small business department of a regional CPA firm specializing in tax planning and small business consulting. Prior to that he was a manager in the financial audit division of the largest regional firm in San Francisco.
Mark's experience includes extensive tax planning and compliance for high income individuals and small businesses. He has specialty training and experience in estate planning and trust taxation and has earned the Calfiornia CPA Foundation certificate for estate tax training. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. In addition to his auditing and accounting experience, Mark is a Pro-Advisor for Quickbooks accounting software.
